Interesting and concerning article about salvagers taking pacific ship wrecks, of which some are war graves. They have no shame, it seems.

Re: WWII naval wrecks vanishing in Indonesia
Steve it is a disgrace what is happening to these WW 11 shipwrecks. A colleague is a diver in the navy reserve and has dived on many WW11 wrecks. He has told me that all the Dutch ships
and even HMS Exeter have just vanished. Sonar has revealed that many shipwrecks have been replaced by an empty trench in the ocean floor.
He says that the forecastle and Bridge of HMAS Perth have been removed. He said that at this point USS Houston has not been vandalized but felt that it was only a matter of a very short time.
I wrote a letter to our government some months ago but only silence.

Since there isn't photos or eye witnesses about it, I say the Indonesian Government themselves are raising and scraping them. If you've been there, you'd understand why I say this.
