Swap Meet 2016 Venue Change

Post by AussieWc21 » Wed Jun 08, 2016 5:52 pm

Hi Everyone there was some unfortunate News at last nights Meeting in Regards to this Years Canungra Swap Meet.

Basically we Have been told by the Canungra Sportsground Committee that we will not be allowed to attend this year unless we Abide by their new Bylaws The main one being that we give them a $5000.00 Bond before the 30th June this month.
Yes I here you say but why You will eventually find out what is going on but Don't Despair as The Management Committee have found a New Site at the Beaudesert Showgrounds which is far superior to the old Venue and will work out a lot cheaper for our Club. Watch this space for Further Information I will attempt to get the new flyer put on here.

What a shame. Canungra was a great venue.

I'll see you at Beaudesert then.

What are the plans after this year's event? Any chance of moving to the north side of Brisbane? ;)

Hi Aaron
Not sure what will happen after this year we had to make a really fast decision this year to get it to go ahead in time
We will asses it after that
It depends on the committee at the time
We do have some really great places to go for runs with the new venue and I will have a look for a suitable place to see if we can get into the water somewhere for the Amphibs but not sure if this is possible yet
Cheers

No worries Shane. It was the right decision to change venue. I'm sure Beaudesert will be great.

Hi all,

I second Aarons comments, both confidence in the decision of our committee forced on us at short notice, and that perhaps now is a good opportunity to seek a northern/north-western site for the future.
After all, the swap has been on the southside for 40 years!

Eitherway, eitherwhere, I'll be there!
