AC-T2 Fuel Filter - Fuel Filter Element

Post by ozm29c » Tue Mar 24, 2009 4:21 pm

Fellows,
Would anyone out there have the RYCO part number for a drop in Paper element for the AC-T2 Fuel filter. Searching the G503 archives I have found the following numbers; WIX 33042 and AC GF 133. Unfortunately I can't cross reference them to a RYCO number or find a local supplier for them.
Look forward to your help.
Regards
John Wilson
PS I need this filter to get to Walker Amphib 2009 :D :D :D :D

I have some NOS GF-30 Fuel Filters that are dated in the 60's. They are 100% identical to the WWII T-2 and have the same AC-1504212 casting No. for the cover They use the AC GF-133 replacement element. The original GF-133 Element kit with correct gaskets is not readily available, it crosses over to NAPA 3042 made by WIX (33042) but the NAPA kits lack the correct fitting gaskets.
I would open one of these NOS GF-30A's but would rather wait until I find a sufficient supply of T-2 Gasket sets.
The spring may not be a great problem, but there were two different lengths for the T-2 which could have two different height brass strainers.

NAPA 3042 Kits are readily available thru the local dealers.
Note the nice blue color of the AC GF-30A Fuel Filter, other than the color its' features are identical to the WWII T-2 Fuel Filters. Both the T-2 and GF-30A are now obsolete and out of production.

Oops, I swapped the elements around in the pics, also the NAPA/Wix does not include the steel washer and small cork gasket that comes with the AC GF-133 Kit. Soon as I get a sufficient supply of bowl gaskets, I'll open one of the NOS AC GF-30A Filters in order to show how the factory put it together.

the WIX 33042 kit with cartridge and gasket is all over the internet from many online vendors...

especially fleet truck suppliers

prices range from 7 to 14 bucks, some W&W/O shipping....

I just ordered six...

And I believe there is a problem with the gaskets for that Wix kit.

Jim did you ever find any issue with the paper filters, any special gaskets necessary?
Thanks
