Hi William:

Your breaks in the serial numbers showing when certain features were added or deleted is excellent and very interesting. Do you have any idea when the "Willys" script disappeared from the rear panel?

It appears I may have your hood with the original hood number 2042166.

It is a fact that Willys MB 110267 (d.o.d. 8-1-42) had hood number 2042318, so it is very likely that the original jeep that was once bolted to your hood had a d.o.d. of 7-1 or 8-1-1942 (as is mine. Cool ain't it?
