I have an extra original standard frame that could be cut down fairly easy that I would sell for $150. I live in Santa Rosa which is close to Petaluma.

Oddball42...if you have a ‘42 Slat then you don’t need a short windshield. These were only fitted at the factory on the first 3500 or so MB’s. What you basically need is a standard height windshield, without the rifle rack brackets, with the early brass clamps.

Exactly as Michael said, 42 slats had a regular height windshield, no gun rack, and brass latches. Thanks.
