Slat Grill front axle hub dust covers

Post by 7777kx » Sat Mar 17, 2018 4:55 am

Could other forum users confirm that Slat Grill MB's has a differently shaped front axle hub dust covers, from the ones currently being offered for sale.
I think the current reproductions are later? March 42 on perhaps?
Any advice, pictures, help, very much appreciated.
Thank you
Alan

Those front Hub Caps stayed the same on MB/M-38/M-38A1 and the 40's-60's CJ's until sometime in the 60's when a shorter version was installed on the CJ-5.
The M-38/M-38A1 did have an O-Ring type SEAL, Front Hub Cap, 804821 that was installed in the groove on the front drive flange It did keep the water out.
