3 Ribs Radiator doubt ?

Post by DIEGOTERRERO » Mon Aug 28, 2017 9:20 am

Hello Folks
3 ribs radiator doubt? :?

I need to check this data that I´ve receive from David today
If David dont get mad.

Is correct that the Slats carry on Radiators with 3 ribs until Serial Number 108452?
From there the Slats have to mount MB STD radiators.

Thats Correct?

Thanks in advance

I believe that is correct. If you look in the serial number list:
viewtopic.php?f=69&t=41993
It lists when early slat items ended and shows the end of the early raditaor at 108452 and then the standard radiator after that.
108446
108452 END EARLY 3-RIB RADIATOR
108468 Ronald Herman

I think much of this research came from Nabholz's and Farley's books.

Lloyd's book volume one page 44 dated 6-20-42 That photo clearly shows three tab radiators with combat wheels. That would put the early slat grill radiator useage way past 108xxx
