I think that I have to be (vertically) type early bracket.
But I see this chart...and I start to doubt

This chart is correct. All Willys MB's have HORIZONTAL Tail light brackets. From the start of production in 1941 to the end in 1945 Willys only used ACM tubs that had horizontal brackets.. GPW's used Ford tubs that all ways had vertical brackets until about September of 43 when they started using ACM tubs that had horizontal brackets.

I do not think that is correct. My Dec 41 slat with body # 10405 has VERTICAL tail light brackets.

Well if we have 2 slats with vertical brackets maybe they were different. I have always gone by this chart. Hopefully some one with more knowledge on slats than I will chime in.

This is not correct, early MB's had them vertical (like Ford) but I don't know exactly when the change to horizontal occurred. The repro MD Juan slatgrill backpanels are incorrect in having horizontal brackets.

Wait for a few guys that have a d.o.d. near you to respond. If someone has vertical brackets on a later jeep you'll know for sure. 8)
