Air cleaner bracket and horn bracket colors

Post by BERLIN RED » Tue Jul 04, 2017 6:08 pm

Hello all. I am starting to slowly take apart slat #116494. It seems to have fair bit of original features to it that have not been messed with over the years. The fire wall seems to be relatively untouched with the exception of some random silver paint applied here and there. What I have noticed so far though is that the air cleaner brackets and the horn bracket where both originally black and no trace of OD. they where slightly over sprayed silver and that will actually push off easily by hand and exposes the satin black paint. all the brackets are mounted with tr20 bolts. Forgive me if this topic has been covered already. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. Jared

Jared, the horn and air cleaner brackets are olive drab. Do you have the pancake filter ? For the record mine is 119696. :D
