There is suppose to be a deflector mounted (bolted) to each fender and one deflector mounted on the hood. I'm not home now otherwise I'd show you some photos of mine. Do your fenders have holes in them around the radiator area that you didn't know what for?

Here's a pic of another Slat MB (not mine) from the front. You can see the fender mounted deflectors through the Grill.

Thanks. I was looking on Ron's page and he has those plates, just wondering if they will fit... I guess I'll order them and try.

Jeepdraw has drawings of these if you want to make your own set. I think there were 2 types; one type was a 2-piece construction and the other one a 1-piece construction if I remember correctly, but I could be wrong.

Hello Mark.

What are the "things" covering the headlights? I see some slat grills with them and others do not. Do you know the story behind them?

Thanks,

Mike

Mike, they are known as "brush guards" or headlamp protectors. Apparently only fitted for the Canadian contract jeeps, which mine is, CDLV242. The later Canadian jeeps also had them fitted. I have seen other jeeps with them fitted, but i dont think this is correct, although they do look good, thanks for your interest. :P

I have not seen Marc's deflectors myself, but his other products are very well received on here so it might be something to look in to?
