Hi Group,
I have extra to my needs one ( 1 ) used early style slat grill MB bell housing. This bell housing has no screw hole for attaching the parking brake cable rather than the later styles with just a tapped screw hole or a raised boss with a tapped screw hole. This bell housing has the inspection cover and the starter nose bushing flat plug making it assembly number WO A-439. The casting date is 12 - 24 ( 41 ) and the main cast part is WO A-438. This type bell housing was used on slat grill MBs from serial number 100001 to about 1136xx and all about 1555 MAs. On the right side the casting plug can be seen filling the hole that would have had the left side clutch cable bump out if the bell housing was to be set up to be cast as a right hand drive unit.
Interesting point, in cleaning on this bell housing no signs on any paint has been seen.
Price is $545.00 including the shipping in the USA. Outside the USA actual extra shipping cost will be added to the price less the avg. USA shipping cost. Payment by Paypal " friends and family " . The account number is my email found under my name at the right hand side of this page.

Hi Jim,
Sorry, I had missed up dating the title. The bell housing is currently on hold pending receiving funds. You are at the top of the back up list.

Can you post a photo of the right side. Itshouldlook like a patch panel was welded on the right side.Adam wrote:Learn something new every day here, They say if anybody will know, Tom W. will. I have/had one of these from a slat, somebody was complaining it was broken and welded up in that location. Anyway
Tom what do you think about this bell housing, I did post this before with no real answer, just a lot of maybees. Dont want to hijack your post, will delete this shortly.
