Hi mate,
I assume you saw the one Army Jeep Parts was selling a few months back? Not sure if its still for sale, but might be what you are after/worth asking.

The MVPA National Convention in Topeka, KS is coming up and there are usually several vehicles for sale...some are recently restored in fact. I don't know if you have any buddies in the US who are going to the convention, but if you do...they could call you if something like that shows up and you could speak to the owner right then and there.

If it is the right one for you...buy it.

Yes the price is higher than some may be comfortable with.
There is a late 45 MB being restored by a high end shop here in PA.
The owner will have a fantastic factory class MB when done, cost..... $50K plus original cost of the jeep.
Just saying....a slat has many more unique parts.

Just for curiosity....

which would be, roughly, a quote for this completely restored original Canadian slat grill?

Hundreds of photos related to the restoration.

Best Regards,

Luigi

Other than the incorrect font on the hood number, what other things are incorrect with this the '41 on sellajeep? It has the primer arm on the fuel pump, shown in the video that was posted on sellajeep. And as far as the DoD it's probably not early enough for a short window. Just curious and still learning the military side.

Hi, Re the font style if you look at original photos they vary from 'sign written' , with or without the serifs after 'C' & 'M', or can be stencilled. Short screen is quite correct for Canadian Contracts, most being Jan or Feb 42. I have also fitted a primer base to my petrol pump. Far easier to draw fuel forward after a long sit rather than crank down the battery. Optional rifle clips however are of British pattern. Mine by the way is going on the market, just too many vehicles! CDLV 242, delivery 13 Feb 42 chassis 119696 - total rebuild - 95% ALL ORIGINAL. Ian

I believe the low windshield was replaced with the standard height one somewhere early December 1941?

Thanks for the reply, canslat. I was asking about the '41 slat that George had for sale on the War Jeeps site. It turns out that the owner of that one didn't have the original data plates or I would have bought it.
