Hi Gavin,

Using both my MB database and AWM records ( from Ian Fawbert ), I would put the DoD of MB 101239 on either Nov. 26 or 27, '41. Sorry I can not get closer than that at this time.

Tom.
Thank you very very much for this information. I can't thank you enough. You are the Serial number MASTER for old ww2 army jeeps.

Hi Gavin,

I am no MASTER. The real MASTERS are the owners that willingly share the data that they find on their vehicles so the data can be archived back into a center system similar to what the original manufacturer may have had..

Data normally needed if available is:

Owner, location, and contact data
Vehicle frame serial number
Dashboard data plate data
Body number and type
Motor number and Make
There are hundreds of other data points to track but these above are a good starting point.

Also the data does not need to be found with current complete vehicles but could be from records of junked vehicles, loose motors, loose data plates, old Government sales catalogs, Government archives like the AWM , or even manufacturer records.

Every data piece is a small tiny piece of a really big huge picture so the more pieces that are shared the clearer the picture becomes.

Hi Gavin,

Thanks much!!!!!

I take it that this data plate is from a Canadian MB since the motor number is listed on the plate.

Gavin,
I have 101256 but with a 12-12 DoD it is obviously an outlier in the data set.

Thanks,
