Documented TR20 locations

Post by DavidA » Fri Mar 20, 2015 12:30 pm

Okay, let the games begin. Where have we seen these TR20's located on un-molested early MB's.

Just because the books say there are a number of x sized bolts on these early Jeeps, does it mean that they are TR20's ? List only the ones you have evidence of. Add the serial number of the jeep it is verified on.

MB111050 had one hood latch and one windshield latch left and they were all TR20 bolts. Additionally Fender bolts, bolts that hold the brass brake line Ts to the axles, bolts for the headlight arms, oil pan to engine, air filter bracket, horn bracket and windshield bracket to body were all TR20 marked. I'm sure I had more, just need to dig through my marked bags some more.

Add both bolts for the generator splash shield.

Hi Dave.

I'd agree with the body handles.

Mb in the 119xxx range, had all tr20 bolts on the handles. I will check the few pics I got for any other locations.

Can't comment on 131175- they were either removed or too rusted or I don't remember/can't check for a while.

Cheers,
Ian.

Okay…good. I am starting a spread sheet that we can add to. If anyone sees a fault with the information, feel free to correct.

One question for me now. Were the fender bolts pointed ? Even though my late script Jeep has them, it is in another locale. Save me a trip. :D
