I was thinking this would have been early as the size of the cap was a bit smaller. It was not correct for my GP prototypes, could be used as a temp substitute. Certainly a good find on the engine. The distributor is in very good shape. I will decide what to do with it once I have some time to look it over I detail and determine my GP needs.

Re: Slat Grill 103000
Evening
Have an interesting report for the g. I was talking to a friend who is into Jeeps just down the road from me and told him I had bought a slat grill rolling chassis south of Fort Smith Ar. He told me he had bought a slat grill jeep body from south of Fort Smith and it was for sale. I went over tonight and purchased the body with many of the little parts included. When I checked the body number it was 2920 where my chassis is 103000. Although the body vin tags are gone I can say there is a chance this body came from the frame given they were both picked up around the same area. At the end of the day I have picked up an original slat tub to combine with the chassis.

Re: Slat Grill 103000
Mike,
First off, nice finds. I am working on a similar condition Jeep and am making progress however, I am missing a couple of details. Is there any chance you can see the heads of the bolts on the various parts i.e.: steering box and the master cylinder. I am at that point in my work and those details allude me at this time.
Has anybody made a list of the various bolts on the Slatgrill Jeep? I have seen Claudes list but I don't know if it is so specific that each part on the Slats is covered. Thanks in advance for any help.
