slat tools jerrycan spout
I need all the slat specialist opinion , here is well known pics
if we are closely looking , I think that the jerrycan spout is the very early type like the one i found ?

I think the photo you posted is of a "field inspection" on a jeep that is already in service. With that in mind, if you look at the JACK and the jack handle in that photo you will probably see it are not the original ones issued with this jeep if it is in fact, a slat grill. There is also a second can (a WATER can) in the photo which is also not a part of the factory provided tools along with the shovel and axe. These are items ADDED to the vehicle in the field along with the jerry-can nozzle in the photo.
I am of the opinion that the threaded nozzles are a pre-WWII item and will be found with a BRONZE grip on them as yours appears to have.
