slat grill rear seat frame

Post by pinksngreens » Tue Nov 13, 2012 7:21 pm

Hello fellow restorers, I am trying to establish whether the slat grill vehicles had a split tube rear seat frame like the driver and passenger seats. If so I would appreciate seeing a photo. Also when did the " full tube frame " seat without the pump brackets come in. My slat 111270 ( DOD 1 13 42 ) was missing the rear seat so Im not sure which would be correct, so I would like a little guidance please. My email is jdh@netspace.net.au Regards. Jim

Negative....the rear seat tubes are each ONE section that are flattened and riveted together. If your seat fits and does not have an "F" on it and does not have a tire pump bracket then yours would be correct if it is in fact an original and not a repop...
