I decided to put up a topic about my restoration project.
Here is how it started :
Around May 2011 a friend linked me a jeep in the USA , sold by Midwest Military in Minnesota. Since i live in Belgium , we have a huge difference between Euro and Dollars so the price was in my favour. Judged by the pictures , i knew it will be a big project but i'm not scared of it. So without too many doubts, i decided to buy the jeep and so did... 5-6 months later it was October 2011 when the jeep arrived in Rotterdam and was transported to the company i contacted to have it shipped. ASAP we went to pick it up at their office.

When i first saw it , i was surprised because the metalwork looked much better than in the pictures at first, so i was getting more confidencd that this was worth every penny. Soon as we took it from the trailer , we worked on the brakes because the axles wouldnt roll...after a few hours of work we placed 4 wheels on the jeep so we could roll it around, the steering box is broke or something is loose...so it does not steer at this moment.

Information i would like to share :
Jeep Willys ( Slat Grill ) serial # 111237
Hood number : 2043636
Tub number : 14261
Engine : Ford GPW
So up till now ive been dismantling the jeep as good as possible , i bought some TM's and correct material such as US wrenches to work with.
