Post by BOOTS » Tue Jul 22, 2014 5:16 pm

So I bolted in the axles today and figured I'd post some pics it's been a little over a year since I removed everything and started the project I disassembled the axles, transmission, transfer case, and the engine as well the steering gone through them sandblasted all the parts Including all the hardware and finely can roll it around again if the weather permits I'll start to install the engine and trans-transfer case tomorrow I'll post some more pics after that.

The garage is from harbor freight it's been up since I started this project last year and it's held up great even through a pretty rough winter

Costco has 10' x 20' canopies for $229. I have a couple. They last about two years here. The sun in brutal on them. Well worth the price. I can put one up by myself in about 30 minutes. All snap together. Pretty handy. I had a Harbor Freight one, but it was bolt together. Took me about 5 hours to put together by myself. Could be different nowadays as that was a few years ago:

Looking good!

For portable shelters, only one I can recommand is the Shelter Logic brand.

Even better if you custom order. I had mine under 3 feets of wet snow and it's still standing :)

Plus, they have green or brown which is more subtle than white or yellow if you live in a wooden area !

If you like the Harbor Freight or similar types but do not look forward to replacing the skin due to sun damage in a year or two....spend some more dinero for one of those plastic tarps and some bungee cords. You can add the tarp OVER the skin and when the sun kills it.... just replace the tarp. The tarps are MUCH cheaper than the replacement skins are!
