Thought I would post a few snaps of the Aussie Leopard I started around 12 years back & still have not quite finished it.....One day.
All the typical Aussie mods, Commanders sight, telafit mounting plate, wind & tempreture sensores, tool bins etc were scratch built, the wind sensor was built from a 1/35 Tamiya M113 diff housng part & is spot on for dimenssion, the rest of it was the top of an Italeri British helmet & fine wire to make up the cage, it does not have the correct amount but this was a real pig to get it like this.
Tha turret baskets were always made by the RAEME guys & although there were many variations this was the most common type, which could be lifted on one side & swung out of the way to access the search light compartment, & the one I built works just like this.
I was luck enough to be around these things for a number of years so research on all the sizes of things was easy.
Doesn't need a lot to finish just a turret callsign, knick name, a little stowage & some minor touching up.

Thanks for the kind word Jon,
The RAEME guys worked wonders with the work they done on these things, As you may appreciate it is cold now in Victoria so only a coke mix in the fridge.

Re: 1/16th Aussie Leopard
It is a radio contolled model but the way the tracks are designed it doesn't work to well, the end connectors are just tapped on with a hammer & they tend to come off while running it around.
When I almost had it ready to paint I drove it around the back yard & a connector came off & I ripped a side skirt off, luckily no damage but I thought I had best keep it as a static model.
