21st Century Toys, "kaput"!

Post by john bell » Sun Apr 26, 2009 3:03 pm

From what I've seen on othe sites, 21st Century Toys has gone under.
I guess WalMart ran them into the ground. Hold on to your collection, they'll only appreciate......John

Where did you see this? I did a Google search but didn’t turn up anything to support that the company is finished. Man, I’m sorry to hear that if it’s true!

I don’t know John, if you look further into that thread, there are people saying they have talked with people who work there and that they have NOT gone under at all.

Maybe I'm wrong? I hope I am. I really like their products. I have over 35 of their 1/18 aircraft and quite a few MV's. Have to keep them in their boxes because I'm running out of room!

21C Toys has declared bankruptcy and are not going to continue operations. All remaining inventory has been sold to retailers and etailers.

Monkey Depot ran a great sale to rid themselves of most 21C stock. Prices were great for a while but they are climbing back up. Still a good investment for the future. My garage is loaded with my hoard.

As a 21C fan with a collection of at least one of all of 1/18 21C's ground vehicles and most of their 1/6 vehicles, I am sorry to see them go under. :x

The last two items on the board to be made was the King Tiger and the 1/18 B-25. They cancelled the B-25 early in the tough economy but we had hopes for the KT which has disappeared.

Oh, well.........

I caught that Monkey Depot sale early in April. Good thing I didn't know about it sooner, or I'd really be broke ( more than I already am!)...............John

Hi guys. If this is true then shall I hold on to my 15 units of 1/6 Jeep? They are on crazy sale here in the Philippines together with the Kettenkrad and German assault boat. And I mean really cheap for the price of a case of soda.

I really liked their WWII figures. I have a couple that I bought that I purposely kept in the box unopened. Maybe they'll be worth something one day. I also have one of their M5 Stuart RC tanks, which I found to be a dissapointment from an RC standpoint, but as a standalone model its pretty decent.

I've got a paratrooper figure with two left feet. Someone put two left feet on him. I imagine that will be worth something later down the line? Its from the first American paratrooper line from a few years back.
