I think the reason that you seldom see them is because most of the Humvee's out there were actually 2 man trucks that have been converted into 4 man. Because of that, a few hard to find pieces get left off when doing the conversion to a 4 man. When I bought my trucks I received lots of pictures from the actual sale at the Georgia auction and all of the trucks as far as I could see were the 2 man. All that being said, I think I have a set of the braces around here someplace.

Just a follow-up on the Georgia auction. If any of your trucks came from that auction, I have an original sale ad and also the auction book listing all of the trucks serial numbers and the price that they sold for. If anyone would like a copy of either or both for their records or to further document their trucks, let me know.

Found a template to Manufacture these in the Appendix D
While looking for more information on these I found a template to manufacture these in Appendix D of the TM's. Looks fairly easy, probably can use a Xerox and enlarge the picture to scale to use as a template and then merey cut out from sheet Alluminum, drill holes, and bend.

Decided to try this template out of paper to see if it would work and was surprised how easy it worked. Ought to be easy to cut out of .05" thick aluminum sheet and drill the holes. The Upper portion that fits on the C-pillar fits perfect but did notice that the dimensions listed has the lower tab section fall over the upper bolt hole for the striker latch on my HMMWV.
I double checked the dimensions to make sure my scale was not off from enlarging and found it was pretty dead on. I guess it could be installed with the tab underneath the upper mount of the striker latch, though curious if cocking the latch slightly forward causes any door closure or issues when the door handle engages the striker. I wonder if this is why most of these braces were not installed on the C-pillar in many HMMWV's?

Equipment part sales in Pa has one of the sides but not both. Not on website from what I recall. You have to call.
I got mine in a GMA hardware kit for a 4man on ebay a while back. It came with the rear strikers, hinges, rivets, and all bolts.
