Good find George!

The Compressor is a GM R4 compressor made by Harrison/ Delphi with an 8 grove pulley and 24V clutch.

Here's an article on rebuilding them:
http://www.xmanproject.com/tutorials/r4 ... repair.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

You could use this info to change clutches on a 12V unit to convert it to a 24V unit...

Cheers

Sorry to revive an old thread,

I have a truck at my house getting an AC installed for a friend, And I'm trying to work through all the pieces provided to me.

The truck came is an updated a2 -
friend wanted Red dot installed, Everything been a breeze up until the compressor.
Truck is a serpentine with a Plate to support the idler, tensioner, etc.

The compressor setup is a "pancake" style (black and flat looking), the bracket looks like the one posted in the part explosion for mounting. However, my question is, is the acc plate retained with that bracket? or is it a one or the other deal?

The old setup looks similar to this bracket https://www.easternsurplus.net/PartDeta ... ey-Bracket
However, after looking. is this the correct one for what i need?

The cast bracket is not compatible with the flat plate setup. The flat plate that was pictured in the link Is the type that is designed for the pancake a/c compressor to bolt too.

This is the compressor that goes in the 2nd link you posted. It is not part of the Red Dot system but may have hoses modified to fit?
And, there are 2 different electromagnet options for this compressor, 1 wire; 2 wire/
