Peter,
I checked Jayair's online catalog and the stock the R4's here in Oz
(both as new and rebuilt units)
They were used here on JB Camira's, a couple of Mecerdes and a Volvo model.
Cheers

Hmmmm...
I thought those 400 Amp alts were only used on the communication trucks. I wonder why it's on a slant back?
I cant believe the odd places the militar have mounted A/C Condensor units to avoid putting them infront of the radiator!
Though I think that this is possibly the worst example Ive seen!!
Cheers

Hi Jojo,
They do come up on ebay a bit so keep your eyes open.
BTW, I trust you've got the 6.5 water pump ready to fit...
(don't forget it runs reverse too
Cheers

Jojo, there is a ten blade fan and an eight blade fan. I have both and the eight blade fan has much fatter blades, but extends further forward from the metal center section than the ten blade fan, so it may only be usable with the late civi water pumps with the large one screw thread for the fan and hub mounting. The ten blade fan is what the military is using now, but it may have also been used on the older civi Hummers, so you might be able to buy it straight from AMG.

I'll buy the 10 blade from you how much do you want with shipping. It is the correct direction for the serpentine correct? The part number should be etched on the metat portion of the fan. I need a 6003064 yes I can get it from a dealer but would rather get it cheeper.

Angry iron, I'm not selling either fan. I was just passing on some info that I thought might be of use to Jojo and anyone else doing a reverse fan conversion. I'll know for shure which fan I'll run after I install the engine and cooling stack, which won't be anytime soon, as I'm earthquake retrofitting my house, so It won't fall onto my Humvee during or affer a Quake.
