do you have new rubbers for them? Makes it alot easier to replace the whole thing t once.

If you are talking of the windshields, they should tilt out from the top after the retainers are removed. Sometimes they are siliconed in. Just use a knife and cut the outside of the rubber. The glass will lift out. Then you can pull out the rubber and scrape the frame clean.

Jeff,

After you get the old glass out I'd suggest a good ration of silicon sealer around both the glass itself and the rubber surround. I put mine in dry initially and had water blowing by while driving. I removed the whole thing and silicon sealed between the rubber and the windshield frame. Now it only drips on my feet LOL.

Kurt did you also put silicone under the A frame where it meets the body? I had water coming in there on mine also... doing the foot drive right on the fuel pedal...
also there are a few holes under the dashboard that can let water in and drip..

I used silicone between the rubber and the frame. Right in the corner so it wouldn't squeeze out either side.

There are three seals that go between the frame and body:
5939685 center
5939686 left
5939687 right
These seals are pre shaped and only sticky on one side.

I also had an 8 foot piece of black butyl, 6001115. It is about 1/2" thick and very sticky with a consistency of clay.

$7 if you want the three above. And you won't have to scrape silicone off if you take the frame off later.

It ended up being a piece of cake, just removing the flash guards and the window will pretty much pop right out replace the glass and it fits right back in. The rubber was like new so did not need any replacing. Awesome!! Semper Fi

Just in time to run the Vets Parade in Petaluma this coming Saturday. Prior to that it will be on display for the Marine Corp. Birthday Lunch in Santa Rosa, all jarheads are invited to attend.
