Serpentine Belt installation

Post by dilvoy » Mon Oct 30, 2006 9:47 am

Well, with the help of many individuals and Vendors, I have been able to obtain the parts to assemble the Military eight groove serpentine belt system. I had to take a non A/C pulley plate and cut out the notch for the A/C compressor, but it worked out very well, with only 1/8" of front to back slop when mounting the A/C pump and that was easily taken care of when I tightened everything up. Thanks everyone.

Hi Shawn, The alternator and bracket came from Paul Moeller and the pulley is from Chuck at Jeep Acres. Dunsbr picked it up for me along with the P/S pulley, water pump pulley and a bracket. Just incase this helps, the eight groove crankshaft pulley has the Briggs & Stratton logo cast into it. I'm not shure if they just did the casting or the complete manufactrue of the part though.
