titled in the state of NJ
I just looked at the title of my Humvee and noticed that my friend who was the car dealer that registered my humvee, used the MFR's serial number and the Military Registration numbers together as the VIN number. It still dosen't make up thirteen numbers but it went through. On another note. I had thought that the ID plate on my Humvee was probably from another Humvee as it had been cut off and was riveted on rather cudely. Come to find out when I went down to the basement and compared the Title, ID Plate and the numbers painted on the tailgate and hood that I do infact have the original ID Plate.

Re: Jersey HMMWV
Although I did title mine in New Jersey just last week, I started WITH a New Jersey Title and Registration.Kurt Lesser wrote:Pat Lombardi in Sterling has an M998 registered in NJ.
They still questioned me because of the short vin number, but later the computer did accept it.
