MG Cradle Stowage in HMMWV

Post by beltfed34 » Thu Mar 02, 2006 9:48 am

Stupid question: Where does one stow a MK64 cradle when not mounted in the turret? I.E., is there a strapping/stowing location??

Austin
It goes on the plate that is in front of the gunners platform. But the mount is for a MK64. Look in your TM i think the 10 manual has a picture of it.

Austin, I have a spare one of those mounts I removed from my M1026.
(The Gear selector goes there on RHD Conversion.)

Perhaps we can do a swap? :)

well that link doesn't work, the one I've got has got number 5595632 stamped on it and that cross refernces to p/n 12340179
It is dark anodised aluminium with 3 straps and rubber mount in one end, the whole thing is an L shape.
