M1151 AC - Measurements of where to cut?

Post by axemann » Tue Nov 14, 2017 6:50 pm

Hi all,

I don't have access to the TM for the M1151 and was wondering if any knows or can point me in the direction as to where to find the part #/NSN for
this AC vent for the LHS rear wheel well. Or even better if someone has one for sale?

Thanks

Thanks to ya'll for the info. I purchased one..

Now does anyone have the measurements or a template of where to cut?

I've spoken to a few people who have some very detailed photos of cut rear fenders but no exact measurements. It's just not the type of big gapping hole I want to cut in the wrong spot  :D

I've had a read of the TM's and researched online. I'm guessing after how many of these condensors were on eBay a few years back that someone's had a go at installing one?

I don't have the dimensions but if you look at my 1165 build, you will see exactly where to cut (factory version). The top cut is just under the top of fender seam. The rear is in line with rear depression. The front is near inner brace. Use your grill cover to place nutserts and mark lower line.

Anyone have references for the other hole that has to be cut in tunnel for the ac box that sits on the tunnel? And measurements to where exactly it gets bolted down ?

Maybe these will help you. I eyed balled mine from multiple photos. Measure 10 times, cut once. You don’t want to screw this up.

The soft top tiedown bracket should still fit at the back edge the vent plate.
