Slantback Antenna Base Housing
Hi all. I was wondering on the slantback, where the antenna base bolts to, is a part number that can be ordered or if it is part of the slantback shell itself. It looks welded on.
Attached is a pic of what I am wondering about. If it is a separate part number by chance does anybody know it?
If there isn't a part number available, can somebody sketch up some of the critical dimensions?
Thanks

Throw an MX-6707 or an AS-3900 antenna base in the hole and be done with it. If you don't want an antenna base there just cut a disc and bolt it into position to cover the hoel. The "well" if a part of the sponson and just gets capped off if no radio is being used.

I saw a few of these sponson antenna mounts lying around loose when I went to My Humvee last week end.
Try sending Paul a fax and see what he wants for one...
Cheers

Thanks for the replies. Sorry if I confused everyone. I will be getting an H1 that has a calgold slantback top and want to put that type of antenna bucket in it....kind of a more military look vs bolting it to the outside of the rear tailgate fender.
If anybody can help with the dimensions I can autocad something up and get it made or see if myHumvee (who's site doesn't work by the way) has something not too expensive.
Update...I just saw a prior post that Beltfed might have one or myHumvee. Trying beltfed first for the antenna cup.

Hi jason,Action wrote:I think he needs the part of the sponson that the base bolts to, not the antenna base itself. He may have a big hole in his sponson.
Jason

I didn't bring my PC and download cables to the US with me, so I'll upload them when I get back to Oz (After 15 hrs in an aluminum death tube above the Pacific!.... )
I'll also look for those GMV photo's too! Promise!

Clarke,
Organization...no, plan...no, but just ask him for something and he will crawl over piles of parts, dig down a foot or two and come up with what you ask for. I am always in awe when I visit Paul. And this is just a small area outside of his office. The main building is almost a block long.
