Thanks ted, very helpful. Is that rad adj home built? Looks like I could make it fairly easy. I still might go duramax. If I find a good deal before winter. Not finding what I want in the way of 6.5s. I would like to know how I would setup the rad and inercooler if I went duramax. Just go civ. on all that I guess.

Thanks Joel for the pictures.
This is all factory equipment and not very well documented. So Joel and I thought to take some pictures and let others who might build an A2 wannabe will get some useful information. For instance, the green u-shaped bracket allows the cooling stack to adjust up/down to help center the fan in the shroud, also the fan clutch housing is different for the A2 compared to the M998...larger hole spacing on the A2 (6.5TD), etc.
Amtak,
If you go duramax (nice), then get all components for duramax (if it is a salvage vehicle). I would think you will need the coresponding computer thingys to make it work. BTW, I bought a set of your mudflaps...should have them soon!

Ted, Your mud flaps went out fri. You sould have them soon. Thanks for the purchase. I have noticed that the rubber is made of ground up old tires or something. The best side on them is the side that goes on the tire side. so you may want to take them apart and put the better side out.
If I go duramax I need to find a truck that has the whole wire harness and ins. cluster. I missed a chevy 2500 with 60k on it. Sold for $1900. It was bent in half so I wasn't sure if the trans. and transfer were OK.
