militarymuseum.at says hello!
Hi, first of all I wanted to thank that my membership application was accepted.
I found the board couple of days ago and read many of your interesting threads.
Because I think it is polite I want to say hello and introduce myself before I join the conversations.
My Name is Sascha and I´m from Austria, so please apologize my grammar (my native language is german).
I´m addicted to military vehicles since my childhood, basically I ´ve to say I´m born with that gene.
My father is collecting vehicles and equipment since the early 1970s. Due to that he gave me a 1944 Jeep Willys MB as a gift for my birthday which I restored until I was 14 years old.
Nowadays I´m co-managing his collection beside my job and my study. We lend our cars for movies and cultural events, and in the near future we want to start to trade and sell our spare parts. Maybe
In consequence of that I created a new homepage tor my fathers birthday in late 2015. But I´m not finished yet. I´m trying my best to catalog everything as fast as I can and spare the knowledge with proper information.
Maybe the experts here can help me with that in enlightening conversations. It would be a pleasure!
Based on his passion my father also founded the first off-road vehicle club in Europe in the 1970s called the Dodge Club (He started to collect with Dodge WC´s from world war II).
For the simple reason that the carlist wouldn´t fit here, it is easier to have a look on our hompage http://www.militarymuseum.at if you are interested. Maybe you find something for an exchange.
Looking for some nice talks,
Sascha
PS: Hopefully the thread is in the right topic area.

Re: militarymuseum.at says hello!
Thanks for the flowers, it is my fathers oeuvre (is that word correct for lifetime achievment?). Also Mr. Vanderveen used that words when he came to visit to write an artilce.1943Willysgpw wrote:Welcome to the G. Unbelievable collection. I am envious.
But don´t be envious please, we all share the same hobby. Everyone is welcomed at our place (except some people here who think we are National Socialists or terrorists because of our hobby). Maybe we have some things who some of you need because they are rare. It would be a pleasure to find important parts for you guys, to keep your stuff running.
Thanks for the welcome greeting!
