NOS Dodge WC Closed Cab Windshields

Post by zepher11 » Fri Feb 16, 2018 5:59 pm

Ran into a what seems to be a rarer find nowadays. NOS Dodge WC closed cab windshields. There were four, but I was only able to get the three. I saw a photo of the fourth one that got away. Has the frame, top brackets, glass and the weather stripping installed. Now trying to decide if I should crack one open to check it out:

The one in the middle has a hole in the lower left corner. Peeked in there and it is wrapped in more cardboard.

Anyone know if there is a year denoted in the markings indicating when these were packed up?

Zeph. If I understand it correctly it was packaged prior to 1955 as it doesn't appear to have an 11 digit numeric Federal Stock Number.

Wow, that is amazing if so. That's a long time ago! I opened the one box to check one out. Pretty nice shape. With a little elbow grease, and a quick touch up, these will look great. I thought the weatherstripping might be brittle, but it is nice and soft:

HI Mike,

I kept one just in case. The others are long gone now.

Always on the hunt...lol. I may not use the one NOS one I have still in the box for my Carryall project. The one on the Carryall is pretty nice. Be some time until I get to that point to make that determination.
