brought home another beauty!!

Post by Ernie Baals » Wed Feb 14, 2018 4:40 pm

Hi all
I drug home what is left of a late model WC6 today
Pretty sad shape, i am going to part out
The body is sad, no floors, and extra holes in the dash
I thought there was a header panel, but i have to empty all the parts, ie jeep engines, trannys, Dodge trasnfer caes, seats and what ever else i find in there
The pad on the engine appears to be blank, it looks like there was a plate over it a some time
It does have a dented gas tank, and drive line
Anybody see anything they need?
Ernie

Looks like a resto candidate; not a parts truck. Unfortunately I am not into the early WCs.

Does look like a lot of good parts if it isn't up for a restoration.

I'd take the pintle hook, if it's available.

While most any vehicle can be “Restored” no matter what condition it is found in. It does require lots and lots of $$$$$. This vehicle looks like a good “Parts” vehicle. Would be enteresting to find out if the Flathead is original to the truck or a replacement motor.

All vehicles look like parts vehicles to people who need parts, I find. And most vehicles look like restoration candidates to very determined, ambitious people. I just hate to see any of them scrapped or parted out before that one special person sees it.
But I can't save them all.....

I have to agree with you on that
I will tell you, i won't be scrapping anything.
There are always parts that other people can use
My VC5 was worse than this when i started. if it wasn't such a rare truck, i don't think i would have tackled it
Then in true Murphy's law fashion, after i finished it. 2 VC5s came up for sale in New Mexico for less money than what i have in the cab alone. And they were rust free desert trucks.......
Oh well, lol

Is the gas tank any good? And how much if you’re willing to sell it?

Great score Ernie,
The body side panels and running boards look pretty good.
