Nice; I like that Dodge sound better than those useless toy jeeps.

On the story and photo that came with the dodge.
The dodge was built in 1944 and was use for airport, airfields, it was use with a big radio to help pilots find a safe landing place somewhere close to airfield or little far if the pilots can't make it to the airfield with the plane been damage, engine trouble, or out of fuel, and the pilots contact the air base that they are in trouble and won't make to the airfield and will land somewhere near the airfield, the soldiers who own that dodge I bought from his son was working with the airfield base or near the airfield base they get radio contact from airbase and than they get mission to radio contact the pilots to find a nearby safe landing to safe the plane and the pilots. On the bottom of the page they had trouble starting the dodge on 6v and kill the battery when they where using the radio to find a safe location for the planes and pilots.
So they had enough they pull the 6v generator out and made a brackets for 2 generators. The original brackets was welded with flat heavy steel and welded another original bracket on top from some other broken dodge they took from and then bolted on the head.
6volt on the bottom use for all electrical system and 12v on top for radio.
Really great history.
But really sad for me in post war someone stole the radio.
But what's still there is the radio stand and I still got it.

Cheers Peter

Thanks Marco and Mark

I am now working on my right mud guard as the is some rust, need to repair it.
I have installed a home made fuel tank.
I did had the original fuel tank, two years ago I sent my original fuel tank to Simon in Victoria to rebuild it, and two weeks later he finished it and he sent me invoice for me to pay, I sent him email I will sent money to you on Tuesday, but on Monday I had an accident as the fork lift was malfunctioning it ran on my foot and pulled me heading toward the fence, I try to reach the emergency button I couldn't reach it so I turn the key off but did nothing so I tried to get my foot of as hard as I can finally got my foot free and broken in 6 place I ended up in hospital for three days. I three days later I sent him an email and he told me he sold my original fuel tank to someone and I said WHAT, he got me very very angry  . Well I lost my original fuel tank and 2 years later I got a free fuel tank from a friend. I was really happy and I installed it and fit right in.
The 6v generator is working now YESSSS, but the 12v generator was putting way to much power and I discovered the regulator is 24volt but the cover says 12v, and now I am hunting for 12v regulator.

Cheers Peter
