is this a correct WC bed?

Post by rondo » Thu Dec 14, 2017 11:25 am

this was on the WC 1/2 ton parts rig that I brought home. that may not mean anything of course. he said it was a wc 12 and it had a closed cab correct nose and winch. he kept the cab and nose for a rock crawler project. yeah I know. there was no tailgate.
but is this a correct bed? it looks like the wc3 bed that I used to have without the flare sides of course.

No
that is a civilian bed, I am guessing 1949 or 1950
I find it so amusing that everybody with a closed cab 1/2 ton calls it a WC12
From what you said, i bet his truck was a command car when new
NO Closed cab dodges had winches. only open cabs and command cars

That's not even a Dodge bed. Looks like a Ford or International bed.

turns out you were right, It was a ford bed. it went to a home to a young man who needed this bed to finish his 51 ford. I even delivered it to him and he (and his dad) were happy as school kids. It's a good dad who mentors his son and they focus on building cool cars. love this hobby.
