WC-21 engine ID

Post by mulezilla » Thu Jul 27, 2017 6:25 am

Got a request from a friend that is needing to rebuild his motor but its a mystery engine!.........thanks guys

Ron,
We need some help.

We cannot find any info on the engine, I was hoping that you can post something on the g503 page. Here all the numbers on the block.
Driver side front -N189909 CAL
Below the disp. M27
Lower back driver side 115829-6

So far it looks to be a early 50s marine engine, we need to find the right specs. Before ordering the parts.

It sounds like a factory replacement block that was sold in California. Dodge made two lengths of blocks 23 inch which are 218ci and 230ci engines or 25 inch which are 251ci and 265ci. That will eliminate most of his question. Parts for the same size blocks are interchangeable
