Need to know the proper procedure for installing glass in the front windshield. Also where to find the material to do it.

Hi Charlie,

Are you going to use the glass setting tape like the original installation? I had thought about doing that for my command car project briefly, but I ended up just taking everything to a glass shop. They used a black sealant which works really well and looks great. Seals really well from water intrusion. Of course, it isn't 100% factory correct, so may not be your cup of tea if completing a factory restoration for judging.

Just a thought for you. I tried the glass setting with my GPW which looked pretty straight forward, but it ended up with the black sealant.

Good luck!
Zeph
