I read it from left to right as customary in English, so to me, it always has been Dodge Plymouth Chrysler DeSoto. But I know some people read it up and down.

Hi
I have three wc dodges they all run like a beauty and I have 5 spare engines on frame 2 is finish and 3 is rebuilding back to live slowly.
They all sound like click, click, click, click,
Only 1 of them sounds like dun ,dun ,dun ,dun.
Love listening to those sounds.
I always love dodges
Those sound are from oil pump.
And they can also make sound from the back of the engine inside which can be cam shaft as well.

Cheers Peter

It's time for a little "Dodge Talk" .
One of our favorite Mechanics, David Mc Quarrie, WWII trained Ordnance Mechanic, Tank Destroyer, Mechanic, 10 Ton Corbett Wrecker Operator, 5 th Army Combat Veteran and Prewar Factory trained civilian Dodge Mechanic. Dave liked to remind us in the shop that "Dodge 5 (correction, 6) Cylinders all make a skipping sound like the one described.
That better?
