Zeph,

on your engine to oil pressure gauge, regarding the last connection from the hose to theq gauge.

1. Did you use 3/16" as stated in the TM?
2. Did you make the last 90 degree bend on the engine side , through the fire wall and then straight to the gauge, or did you do a flex coil bend in the cab behind the dash. to provide some room for movement prior to the gauge.

Just trying to figure how to get from the hose to the gauge. I see you made a nice hump bend to get over the rib in the fire wall. nice touch.

There is a metal line from the engine, that hooks into a small flex line that goes into the metal line from the firewall
Here is a picture of a civilian WC to give you an idea
and a few others i found, in one you can see the flex hose over the starter
In the top picture it is the line over the voltage regulator that runs down next to it

Thanks Ernie. Thats a good image of how the bend changes from vertical to horizontal to go through the firewall. Zeph duplicated that nicely on his as well. I look forward to some pics behind the dash to see how to bend to the gauge.

Actually, I can't take the credit. It came from John at Midwest Military. It fit like a glove and had the correct bends and fittings on it already.

With a little spare time I also made a foot starter pad. I used a carriage bolt and cut the threaded section off leaving the square section under the head. I then drilled the square section to allow the stater foot threaded rod to insert up into it after I welded a nut on the square section that would allow it to screw on. I also ground the head into an octagon like on my 3/4 ton weapons carriers. Not sure what the original half-ton foot starters had as a pad. At least I can get a 1 1/16" wrench on it:

Zeph,
Could you be so kind as to post an image of your starter foot switch to starter interface inside of the engine compartment please. I'm having difficulty seeing how the correct connection is made as my set up was probably not proper. Did not know if it was mechanically linked, or the linkage arm on mine should be removed and the pad simply located on top of the starter button on the starter itself. I found a suitable replacement switch, just not sure how the connection goes.

Thanks

Oz,

Here are some photos. First two are of the Command Car. Hard to get in there with a camera. Not too much room. The third photo is looking down on a Carryall that I have for what it's worth:
