12 volt battery for WC 57

What type 12 volt battery are we using in the side mount on the running board , I need to be some what correct on the style and size for a WC57

It's a group 8 battery like big trucks use , be sure to get the post type group 8 , they offer post and stud type terminals . Warren Duchesne

I might get to come by , I have plans to join the Route 66 Convoy in Branson on Saturday so I might be there on Friday.

thats a lot of battery if your not running a radio dynamotor. most people get by with regular.

Due to the lack of stowage in the WC56/57 vehicles what a couple of us have done here is to install a conventional 12V battery in one corner of the compartment and make up a tool box to occupy the remaining space. This works quite well if originality is not a requirement but nobody knows unless you open the compartment.
