Anyone use an intermodul from state to state?

I've read about guys filling up a shipping container for shipping overseas, but I'm looking at an intermodul for using at storage on my property. And, I've got several barn find Model T's and Model Aj's in Leavenworth, KS that I need to ship to me here in Atlanta. So, I thought, why not kill two birds with one stone? Get an empty container in KS, load it myself with the frames and bodies and loose parts, have the container shipeed to Atlanta, then dropped off on my perperty where I want it and pull my cars out as I resotre them and use the container for storage afterwards.

I know nothing about how they are dropped off, oaded without a crane, etc.

Anyone do anything like this?
