1943 GPW (central Oregon) Sold*
https://bend.craigslist.org/cto/6112517384.html
I am interested in this jeep, fits because of price, location and its running.
Engine is a 60's 170 6 cyl, trans and overdrive mid 60's, but the body looks useable.
the front frame rails are bent, How hard is that to fix?
Is the asking price too high?
thanks,

Later model jeeps built in Australia were built with this Ford engine & T90.
Worth the price, with good title if not rusty & I would just tidy/clean up the engine compartment, paint & enjoy.

You mean rebuilt in Australia? That's a 1960s Ford engine

Jeeps were assembled/manufactured @ Rocklea in Qld.

John, they are referring to cj-3s, not wwii jeeps. This is a common post war mod over here, nothing to do with the Australian Army

i bought this one,
the original owner after the navy? read an article in 65' about falcon 170 conversion, and that's what he did. its a 61' straight six motor.
I would add a google drive link for a photo of the magazine article but i haven't posted a link before, i need to research this site about its rules.
It did come with original jack, spark plug socket, and one of the open wrenches. among a mass of 60's jeep stuff.
I thought i saw on this site a few years ago a place to add vin #'s and data plate info to a registry? but for the life of me can't find it in my searches.
I think ill enjoy driving it this summer, then clean it up, assess the entirety of the jeep, and see what happens.
