The one in the background looks like a GPW or MB. to me.

Still a bargain price, once restored the value will go up tremendously. Some hard work ahead though for someone.

Re: GP FOR SALE EBAY
I guess that everyone has their own opinion as to what a bargain price is and that's fine. What makes me makes me question the thought of this being a bargain (and maybe it is to some) is what is missing. Dash, windshield frame, ENGINE, data plates, steering assy., and transmission cover just to mention a few. But maybe these items are there and it is just a poor job of marketing, more info is needed..

Re: GP FOR SALE EBAY
I spotted as auction with opening of $7500US. Auction now closed. Only one bid. Winning bidder has feedback of 0 which is somewhat curious.

Re: GP FOR SALE EBAY
$7500 doesn't seem too bad for an original GP. Let's be honest, some MB/GPWs are starting close to that amount and sometimes in much worse condition! Obviously parts are more available for MB/GPWs than GP/MAs, etc, but still...someone with the passion and bank account should be able to source the necessary parts to complete this project. I'm sure there are still original engines floating around out there, too!

Re: GP FOR SALE EBAY
Aye, just would take about $25,000 worth of original parts not counting the body, frame and mechanical work, and a guy would have a nice GP.Mark Jesic wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 10:42 amStill a bargain price, once restored the value will go up tremendously.

Re: GP FOR SALE EBAY
I have to agree. Unless the buyer was "in it" to fulfill a dream, then he or she would be better off buying a finished one at a higher rate. I say higher rate but, it would be much less in the long haul.Michael O. wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 5:26 amAye, just would take about $25,000 worth of original parts not counting the body, frame and mechanical work, and a guy would have a nice GP.Mark Jesic wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 10:42 amStill a bargain price, once restored the value will go up tremendously.

Re: GP FOR SALE EBAY
Hmm, $25k seems cheap seeing as an MB/GPW can easily cost that amount if you want to source all original partsMichael O. wrote: ↑Thu Nov 16, 2017 5:26 amAye, just would take about $25,000 worth of original parts not counting the body, frame and mechanical work, and a guy would have a nice GP.Mark Jesic wrote: ↑Sun Nov 12, 2017 10:42 amStill a bargain price, once restored the value will go up tremendously.

You’re absolutely correct....perhaps I was being too conservative with my estimate, but y’all get my point.
I want a GP for myself but hope to find one that’s more complete.
