Nope, $ 45,- only, but why so nosy Marco, comes by as a kind of jealousiness.
No it was $495 ans it aint jealousnis. Just want to let everyone know What the prices are these days. No Harm in that or are you trying to hide anything because you sell it locally for €199?

Oh boy, kinda dumb ass you are. Look at the linkage and you know that is a 636s carburator and not the 539s selling here. Good specialist you are
I’ll do more repairs and rebuilts indeed, good for you to find out 🤣

Is the finish on the base “factory”?
I'm curious as well
By order, I can do factory but that will rust easy. Use chemical blackening for that. Gives a greyish black result. Next to that have a paint solution which is rust preventive and gives in appearence almost same greyish result.

On request also have the correct pump linkage with spring and cup. Al parts used are NOS.

But men, what had happened here. Been away for some time and get harassed directly by some angry forum users. Are those the new moderators ??

I’ve done many carbs, from factory class till vintage appearance. Have even the special hard to find and so expensive parts for a factory class resto. In the near past done many and was well known for that. Picking up business again but when it goes like this I jump away from here.

Hi wo2jeeper!

Would you sell a set of spring and cup for the linkage?
I have an untouched april 44 539s; all original bit missing these two small parts I'd really like to find!

I'd also be happy to trade the 4/44 brass tag for another original before 3-42.....but I'm aware that this easily qualifies for daydreaming ;)

This one does not "have all 100% correct Carter 539S NOS parts"...have you noticed the throttle connecting rod is the 636S style with the 636S style keeper & spring on it? See the STEEL or ALUMINUM plug in the flange body? Note the PAINTED finish on the flange body as opposed to the factory style parkerization finish?

Now THIS is a100% correct Carter 539S carb. Beautiful, isn't it?

Hi Fabrizio, original or Repro ? Sorry don’t have a Tag either. Also my own NOS 539s has a 44 tag.

Nothing painted here, blackened. Your top looks wirebrushed, my used one was NOS. Better look at the plugs as these are original NOS brass ones. Also see the kit you installed is the India kit which most vendors sell. My master overhaul kit is original Carter and best fit. But yours sure looks nice in appearance.

It's not wire brushed, you can get into all the cracks and crevices using a TOOL to do that. These were bushed of course, and I had NOS throttle shaft assemblies to use in the rebuild. The hardest thing to find in the long run was enough of the throttle rods with the bayonet fittings to use the cap/spring assembly from Carter that complete the look...that and the COPPER plug as opposed to the Aluminum/Steel ones often seen in rebuilds.

Most guys here prefer the beautiful finish on these and if I had ten more I'd have sold 'em by now but I ran out of cores...those that are NOS look like this:

NOS would be better, but repro would still be better than nothing!

Wo2Jeeper,
I too feel it is Ok and actually useful to leave your asking price up for view. I have no interest in what you actually sold it for, but I am interested in what was being asked. FWIW, I dont really know or care who bought it either. I am also not being critical of your price. That is your business.

I can sell you the masterkit for $ 20,- ex shipping, you get a cosmoline sealed box, these kits are for a early type GMC carb that was replaced during the war. So luckely these kits were left over due to that. I bought them only for the cup and spring, rest in the kit is just a bunch nostalgic NOS parts
