Post by marco.verhaag » Fri Jan 26, 2018 4:57 am

Rare object possible for sale. Asking €2000,-
Shipping world wide possible but isnt cheap.
Items are located in Leeuwarden (cultural capital of Europe 2018),the Netherlands or Holland as Some people say

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
I have a nearly complete study jeep that I might want to sell. I bought it without a frame, link house, transfer case in Belgium where he formerly served as a study object so that the operation of the jeep could be learned.
What is there:
-complete engine, very late MB production number 609209
front axle
Rear axle
steerhouse
air filter, starter motor, oil filter, alternator,
shock absorbers
spring leaf packages
-4 wheels with tires
-1 crate with various loose parts
When the engine cranck over a bulb is shining which sits in the top bottom of the spark plug.
*no frame*

When interested please let me know in a Pm.

I've never seen whitewall military tires!

To answer your question.
This is very interesting but does have very limited use.
This would be nice fully assembled and displayed at a convention or show but....

If this were close to me and I could consider purchasing it without shipping involved I would be interested.
It looks like you are asking $2000 Euro (about $2500 US dollars)
Is it worth $2,500. Yes. But I'm not sure I would be a buyer.
This will go to someone with a specialized need or use or interest.
If I were selling it I don't think I would take any less than what you are asking.

You will need to do some clever marketing.
Where is this located?
Shipping may be the deal breaker on this for many.

Good luck. Keep us posted.

I remember seeing another post about a cutaway training jeep a few years ago, but unfortunately I can't find the link to it. It might well have been this unit.

It is indeed interesting and worthy of restoration/preservation.

The large training bases had Training Aids Sections and made "Mock Ups" and "Cut Aways" of weapons and vehicle components such as this Jeep.

One sold on eBay a few years ago to a well known British jeep parts company. They rebuilt it and it was/is for sale on their web site.

There was a cutaway WW 2 jeep in Russia a while ago, and I think it was a training jeep. It was not this jeep. That jeep had EVERY single component of the jeep cutaway. I wish I had kept the pictures of it. Oh, well...
