Canadian Jeep stretcher carrier blueprints.
Hi all.
I have for sale modern printings of the original blue prints for the Canadian designed stretcher racks as used on many Canadian jeeps in NWE.
These have been completely redrawn on CAD by me after considerable hours of work to replicate the originals. Ive copied the same type of font used and the same style of measurements. The overall size of the drawing is 36" x 24"
Copies are available for $20 CAD each from me. Shipping will be at cost.
Send me a PM if you would like to buy a copy.
Pictures are on the G503 Facebook page. I'll get some here once I figure out how to

Can you advise if an accreditation to the designer appears on the Blueprints?

I checked and no there is no accreditation. I’ve put my name down as being the one who redrew and digitized them.

Re: Canadian Jeep stretcher carrier blueprints.
Jordan did an excellent job. He used copies of scans I took of the original blue prints from the National Library and Archives Canada.
I had started to work on the same on the computer, but his turned out much better than mine.
This was a Canadian design which replaced an earlier design.
Thanks
Eric

Hi Jordan,
Might you have a photo of what these look like once constructed and mounted on a jeep? I am curious, and that might help sell these blueprints if people can see the end result of the plans they're buying.

Re: Canadian Jeep stretcher carrier blueprints.
Hi guys.
I have a Canadian Contract 242 slat which seems to have been converted to an ambulance. But that conversion looks slightly different and that slat seems to be one which never left Canada, since it does not feature the normal ETO conversion of light switches and convoi diff light. Tail gate cut in and rear seat moved to passenger seat position.
Hmm?

Hello Lars
I see you also have a CDN Contract 505 MB, 177547. By chance do you have the engine and body number for it?
I am also interested in any information on the CDN contact 242. If it is overseas and did not have the light switches, it might have been shipped post war as part of the rebuilding program.
There were several stretcher variants used by the Canadians. The spare Tire was only relocated on some versions and i have never seen the tailgate cut. I have seen the back seat relocated to the front passenger seat position.
Thanks
Eric

Re: Canadian Jeep stretcher carrier blueprints.
Hi Eric,
what makes you believe MB 177547 was a 505 Contract? I am pretty sure it has a British background...but it has no 505 data plate, just the normal US type Willys one. But there was a lot of swaping going on in September 42...Farley registers the S/N as US under Contract W-398-QM-11423, however, MB 175987 to MB 176485 as a British Contract delivery out of a US Contract. But Farley states also that the Canadian Contracts CDLV 1696 (4.000 units) and CDLV 1802 (1.000 units) from September 1942. According to Farley, approx 270 units with S/N 171016 - MB 171286 were the last ones with the 505 Data Plate, with the balance destined for Canadian use coming from US stocks without 505 plates or Canadian conversions thereafter.
This Jeep saw post war NATO service and was rebuild, hence most likely, no genuine engine or body number. Engine is 1944, body ACM I 177556
, but that seems to ba a small delta for September 42, so it was probably the result of a post war rebuild. Complete salad, some GPW parts on it also.
