F O R D marked engine crank S O L D
Here is a very good to excellent FORD marked engine crank. I sold this on Ebay to a fellow from Australia but Ebay screwed up the shipping so bad, I canceled the transaction. Will post it here before I go back to Ebay.
Look at the pictures and see what you will be getting.
includes shipping to lower 48 only. Overseas, I would guess is going to be around shipping charge. Prefer Paypal "Friends & Family" but not a deal breaker. Thanks

Re: F O R D marked engine crank
Would it be possible to get a measurement of the location of the Ford marking from the engine end of the unit?
Thanks

Re: F O R D marked engine crank
Will this fit a WWII Jeep or is it for something else?

Cranks my GPW over fine. Fits the front crank nut perfect.

Re: F O R D marked engine crank S O L D
MEASUREMENT:
From the end that goes into the cranking nut, to the F O R D, Ford is between 19 and 20 inch marks.
I will be listing my last engine crank soon. It is marked G503 and some numbers. More than likely for an MB ??? Has a wire spiral around cranking end part. See pictures. Same on this crank, the n\G503 starts approx. 19 inches from end. Thanks.
This one already sold also. Out of cranks I think

The last one is not the kind supplied in a GPW, or an MB. It is likely a postwar version. Note the wrapping on the handle and the lack of the FORD script logo.

Most likely, but do we know for sure??? Plus, I really like the spiral coiling around the handle as it stays solid in your hand, whereas with the solid crank, your hand has to slip on the handle.

Re: F O R D marked engine crank S O L D
Yes I think we do, Sam. To begin with, the bends fall far short of the 90 degree ones on your FORD crank.
Even the TM 9-803 does not list a "41-code" number for the crank, and the seven digit system was just getting started....while a case could be made that it was a "gov't purchase" outside of what Ford or Willys would supply, I think it bears an eerie similarity to the "ARMEE FRANCAISE" marked one below with the wire-wrapped grip:
Possibly also a European post war item produced for US forces? Maybe our European members can comment here?
