Ruby Foo up For Sale with trailer also '43 GPW REVISED PRICE

Postby railroadgoatoat » Mon Aug 06, 2012 6:48 am

SOLD RUBY FOO and Trailer !!! 1943 still available.

Time to part with Ruby Foo. Has been totally and Lovingly restored by Douglas Culver about 7-8 years ago. Think you can do a search for "Ruby Foo" and find pictures and posts by Doug about her ??
I do not drive her enough to keep her oiled up and her seals fresh. I see the front transmission seal is leaking oil after I drove her about 20 miles. She has all the small stuff, decontaminator, fire ex, oil can bracket with can, headlight covers, radio antennae and mast, water bag 1945, step gun pedestal, and more. Has Willys MB engine with the T84 tranny. All 5 combats with 4 nice NDT's, spare is old, maybe original Goodyear spare. Nice seat covers, top and all bow hardware. She needs a touchup here and there but is still a beautiful gal. Gets thumbs up constantly. She was born in 1945. Quite a few pictures if email address is sent. Comes with clear title, Illinois. Can be seen in Watseka, Illinois where she is kept in shed always, actually to much !!! Thanks

Prefer emails instead of "pm". rrgoat@att.net

Also for sale is a 1943 Ford GPW with GPW engine, all 5 combats, new NDT's, repro tub, not sure about repro tub as the paper work when I bought her say "original tub". She is basically 80-90 percent finished. Needs all the small things bolted on her. Needs side handles, axe and shovel brackets, jerry can bracket, spare tire holder, etc. Needs front bumper area redone, Bubba mods never removed. $9000 for her. She was going to be Bertha Mae after my 103 year old Grandmother.

I am NOT looking for the Jeep Police to critique them!!!!!!!! They are what they are.

Just had a professional inspection for East Coast fellow today. Have another buyer on the side waiting on his decision. He also is interested without trailer. Will make decision after 1st buyer makes a decision. Do have a party interested in just the trailer. Will let you know what happens in about 3-4 days. The M1 Garand is NOT included in sale. Thanks

I have had inquiries about selling Ruby Foo without the trailer,. Also, inquiries about purchasing trailer separately, so now Ruby Foo is for sale for $13,000. Have the 3 CD's documenting her restoration. Have the antennae sections (4) that screw together, the book Yankee Doodle Dandy, and the 14 Armored Division flag. Does need to be cleaned up and some nicks touched up but all in all, a VERY NICE Jeep. $13,000 FIRM.

Yes, Ruby Foo and the trailer went to a Father/Son family. They are enjoying her now. I am happy she went to a young person so that maybe the hobby will continue on to the next generation. We need all the youth we can muster up, to always remember what the "Greatest Generation" did for this great country. Long live the Vets, not just the WW2 ones, but ALL veterans.

Thats Great! Spot on, Hopefully more young people will carry on the traditions! I was just wondering because I'm selling my halftrack and looking for a good jeep to do a partial trade. If you are intersted in the halftrack and still have the 43, lemme know! Thanks, Mike.
