What about GPW 108175? I told my wife I would slow down the Jeep spending, but I I think she would understand if I found the "correct" engine :D

I too am interested (like Fred posted before me) in an early MB block from 103xxx to 105xxx, but I'd take something in the area below 110xxx. Also I'm local.

Thanks!

I sent Snopro an email right after he posted the engines. I was interested in a few WW@ ones and am quit close to him, but never got a response back from him??? Maybe the posted email address here on the G is no good?? Has anyone on here gotten a response back from there wish request?? Or are we barking up a bare tree ??? Good luck fellas.

I also sent a direct email to the OP inquiring if the "friend" was intersted in a bulk sale of all the engines for one price and let someone else sort through them and provide a list of the casting numbers, DOD's, decide which ones to part out, etc.

I have heard nothing back from him.

I have no idea if/when the original poster may respond.

I do know that there was a batch of engines from a salvage yard in San Angelo Texas that went to Oklahoma at prices that were pretty steep. MAYBE when the guy in OK realized he wasn't going to recoup the money he spent he dumped them.

Or, it could be like one of the American Pickers scenes. You talk to someone and they are interested in selling, but when push comes to shove, they really don't want to sell. And when you ask someone to start digging through them to clean off grease and grime looking for a specific serial number, I don't think the motivation is very high.
